Who We Are
Thornbury is an unusual organisation.
We have no "juniors" - every one of us is a seasoned professional.
Individually, we specialise in a discrete range of work - collectively we cover a wide spectrum.
Our team bring many years of practical, hands-on line experience in senior and middle management roles, at both national and international levels. We have the behavioural skills and expertise to enable significant personal and business performance improvement.
Additionally, we have established an extended network of trusted organisations and consultants to give even greater resource flexibility, allowing us to be highly responsive to demands placed on us by our Clients, and to the evolving pattern of work within assignments.
We encourage our consultants to become shareholders in the business, thereby underpinning their commitment to the success of client assignments.

John Black - Director
John's international commercial career spans over 30 years, initially in Business Development and Sales Management roles, and finally as CEO of a group of companies working in 8 countries. This wide experience, primarily in the manufacturing and IT sectors has reinforced his interest in developing management effectiveness and sales skills as a means of driving organisational performance.

Antoinette Urwick - Director
Antoinette's international experience spans over 25 years, both in an Operational and Training capacity, primarily in the service industry that includes ten years with an International Hotel Chain.
This resulted in her continued interest in diversity and the belief that every manager and individual has a responsibility to discover and develop the potential in both themselves and others.

John Connor - Director
John's early background in sales and marketing led him to develop a successful international career as General Manager and Board member of businesses in the USA, Poland and Russia
with a particular interest in start-ups, partnerships and joint ventures. John's experience embraces banking, transportation, large government projects and software development
and he is passionate about the business benefits of "managing through the numbers".

Michael Taylor - Director
Michael is a very experienced financial consultant, both in the UK and overseas, dealing with finance and taxation issues, including corporate restructuring, investment advice and implementation, and financial management in a very large global enterprise. Michael has also been involved in financial and tax training from student to Board level and has extensive experience of working in the charity/not for profit sector.

David Brown - Director
David has spent over 30 years in the IT industry in diverse management roles, latterly occupied with the development and programme management of training solutions. His particular expertise nowadays lies in the areas of organisation of learning seminars, exhibitions and conferences. He is also the group's IT Director.
