Culture and Organisational Change
"An organization's capacity to execute its strategy depends on its hard infrastructure--its organization structure and systems--and on its soft infrastructure--its culture and norms."

Many organisations face a variety of challenges when they want to implement change, whether significant or not.
Culture, "The way we do things around here" defines every organisation, whether it is the one they want or not!
Why is it that implementing change seems to be such a challenge for many organisations?
With all the experience people and organisations have had, why does it go wrong - or sometimes not achieve what is wanted?
It may have something to do with the focus, which is almost invariably on the formal side of the organisation.
Frequently the needs of the informal organisation and of the individuals are given little or inappropriate attention.
We understand this and support clients in addressing them to avoid the pitfalls.
We have worked with many organisations to help them identify their corporate culture, using structured surveys and measures or more subjective, anecdotal approaches.
Undertaking a culture check will provide your company with a huge amount of useful data and increase the probability of achieving success, perhaps in a shorter timeframe.
This provides the best start point from which to build a strategic plan or to set the change direction to support the new plan.
Implementing change
Clients may prefer to think of this as "change management". We think it is more a matter of making the change happen by facilitating it, rather than managing it.
We do incorporate the principles of change management, although we think of the process as one of implementation.
We have experience of working with a variety of companies on change transitions,
whether helping them develop the most effective way forward for themselves or coaching and supporting them through an initiative
which they have already launched, while facilitating alignment of culture with business objectives and strategies.
And if the change is an enforced one - restructuring, redundancy, retrenchment, we can also provide the motivating support and skills re-sharpening which will ensure the success of your new smaller organisation.

"The training was delivered in a highly professional yet relaxed style, with full involvement from all. The sales managers left...full of ideas, enthusiasm and a belief that they could - and will - improve their own performance and that of their teams ...."
